I think I'm starting to get used to painting with oil.  It's starting to make a little more sense to me, I'm not  as scared to use more paint, and I don't hate the whole process of cleaning the palette and brushes like I used to.  Speaking of using more paint, I was watching a Michael Klein painting video.  It's very inspiring to see him use so much more paint than I usually paint with.  I would love to have as much control over the paint as he does.

Happy new year!!!!  Yeah, I know it's late.  Last year I think I made some big steps forward in my development as an artist, and especially in oil painting.  There were a few times when the light bulb clicked on and I thought, "I GET IT!", and then there were times when I felt like I hit a wall.  All in all, it was a pretty good year.  I'm looking forward to entering more competitions, putting more work out there, trying new things, traveling to new places, and getting more disciplined and consistent.  Out with the old, in with the new. :-)
